Description

The globe is composed of two sets of twelve late seventeenth-century copper-engraved half gores and two polar calottes, coloured by hand and laid down on a modern sphere mounted in a metal meridian with hour ring and pointer, octagonal horizon ring raised on a central turned column surrounded by four supporting figures joined by two stretchers with bun feet, (38 inches tall)
